"You weak pathetic fools, I've come for your souls!"
Hey everyone! We here at IamRetro just got in stock the Outworld Emperor himself, Shao Kahn. First appearing in 1993 as the final boss in Mortal Kombat II, Shao Kahn has gone on to be the final boss in over eight different MK titles and is one of the most recognizable video game villains of all time. He’s been t He was initially played by body builder Brian Glynn, who did all the mocap work for him in MKII.
Originally, Shao Kahn was going to be unmasked at all times in MKII and was initially designed to look like fellow MK character Baraka, with the idea being that everyone from the realm of Outworld was all the same race (Tarkatan). The developers later decided against this idea, and instead Shao Kahn was kept masked for the majority of the games, except on a few occasions in the MK comics and briefly in the spin-off gameMortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks
Helmet on or off, Storm Collectables does an excellent job conveying the massive size and imposing presence of the warlord, whether he is wielding his gigantic hammer, or sitting on his included thrown while watching other kombatants rip each other apart. Check out it out here.
